I told him they were my “Dani workouts” and how amazing you are. It’s been 6 months since I’ve looked like this and I was down to 114 back then. I got up to 130. I’ve learned so much more than I ever did from other trainers. I need you to be cloned so I have you here! I told so many people about you!!! I’m going to keep going hard at it. “I came to Dani looking to blast through a very stubborn plateau that had been ongoing for several months, despite my workouts and meal prep food choices. Dani thought the GetUrGainz program would be best suited for my personal goals, and was very quick to respond to my emails as we figured out what approach would work best. Dani created a customized nutrition plan based on my needs, my goals and my workout schedule and also provided me with a workout program that I could follow right at home, for 6 weeks. Dani was always very involved in our Facebook group, easy to reach, supportive and was open to all of our questions, night and day. She even stopped what she was doing and made a quick video of how to perform a weighted deadlift while waiting for her son at the dentist office. I mean, what coach gives you that level of commitment???!
I think the most important lesson I gathered from the six week muscle building program, was that Dani’s nutrition plan helped me to see that lifestyle changes for fitness goals do not have to be oppressive and strict to the point where they are unsustainable and miserable. I have lifted for years- and was relatively successful with gains– but knew I needed to dial in on the nutrition component to reach the next level. With Dani’s nutrition plan, I am eating more than I ever have, which makes me feel full and satisfied throughout the day, lessening my desire for a quick and sugary fix to get my energy level back up (only to crash later). I know that her nutrition plan provides me with the right mix of nutrients to grow my muscles and get that metabolism roaring, too.
Further, Dani inspired me every day to put one foot in front of the other and get the job done; we are all busy as moms, wives, career women, etc. It is easy to choose to sit on the couch at the end of a long day, but Dani teaches us to take care of our bodies and make fitness and a healthy lifestyle a priority, too. Let’s face it, our family needs us around, and they need us to be happy and healthy!
I lost a half inch in my waist, gained an inch in the bicep and 3/4″ on my quads. But most importantly, I learned how to fuel my body for muscle gains and reset my metabolism after years of unintentional under eating. While my “transformation” pics and measurements may not seem like a lot for some, they are immeasurable for me. After breaking the plateau and focusing more on nutrition, I feel like I can take on the world in confidence, but even more so, I can continue this lifestyle change for years to come, and not feel like I am depriving myself of my favorite foods.

As I’ve tried to incorporate a healthy lifestyle into my life over the past few years, I am so thankful for FB and Dani Tolbert! I can honestly say she is my motivation!! I was so excited the day that she started doing online training because I knew that was probably the only way I’d ever get to “workout” with her!! Through her online training, seeing how I was one of the first “guinea pigs” to do the online thing, myself and a few girls got to be a part of a group. This group was great because we got to share things that we were all doing and Dani would coach us through this group! We got workouts that were geared to our gym and that helped a lot. And, I know that no matter what, when I had a question about anything, she’s always there to respond. (Probably because she’s a night owl like me and we never sleep!!) The thing I love about Dani besides her gunz, abs and legs is she is REAL!! She’s a mom and she gets it…she gets life and she doesn’t judge. She just keeps on pushing herself and us. I love the tips, the exercises, the recipes that she gives us. And, the best part is there is no special foods, no special workout. Oh Dani! Where do I begin? I first came across you on Instagram, everything changed for me almost instantly. I saw your transformation and was amazed. For so long I had the mentality of “I’ll do it next week.” So I joined her online training group and was totally & completely hooked! Dani, Thanks so much for your guidance and help in these groups! There are 2 main differences that I feel/see:
- My upper body strength. I feel much stronger, and it proves in my ability to do push-ups and hold a plank! In the beginning, I could hardly do either of these.
- My booty. I can actually see a little lift in the rear! I guess that’s thanks to a gazillion squats and lunges! My weight has only gone down by 3 lbs. Which I guess can be a little discouraging, but to be honest, even at the best shape of my life, I’ve never been that “light” or petite girl. So I’m not going to get too caught up in the numbers on the scale. I’m excited to start the workout splits in the next group, and maybe work a little harder on my eating. I love training with Dani, she is the real deal!! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but she is soo down to earth and honest! Dani’s workouts are perfect- they are very challenging but realistic for fitting them into everyday life. She doesn’t just design her programs in a “one way fits all” way, she is always encouraging and helps modify anything that needs to be changed in order to fit into each person’s needs. Dani, first, I want to say “Thank you” for all the support and guidance you continually provide personally to me and in our group setting. I have struggled for a while with my workouts (consistency), but your new GetUrGainz program has helped me remain focused on my goal by changing the workouts up every couple weeks. I don’t get ‘bored’ with the same workout routine for a month; therefore, I don’t make excuses to workout. In fact, I’m excited (even on a blah day) to get home and hit the gym for my workout. I took a huge deep breath when I signed up for this (and was quite nervous), but it has been the BEST THING EVER! The group support is second to none! I love all the girls in our group. These women are so powerful and the friendships are like no other. No judgment – only amazing continual support – even when we fall short of our personal goals. Second, I can’t say enough about my meal plan. I’ve had one in the past from a different trainer, but she wasn’t concerned with MY NEEDS (regarding my food sensitivities and likes/dislikes) which made it pretty much “her way or no way”. Needless to say, I quit that, too. Spring break set me back a little, but since then I have been 100% consistent on prepping and logging 7 days a week that I am seeing results. That is what makes me want to keep pushing forward to GetMyGoalz!
Lastly, the accountability for this program is like no other! Daily accountability is also what drives me. Without it, I would be lost – as in would slip one day, then another, until the avalanche occurred. Every day I can hardly wait to finish my food for the day and post that log and my workout log. I look forward to reading everyone’s posts, logs, and photos. I am beyond thankful that our paths have crossed. I will be forever grateful to you and everything you help to push me to achieve! I have no idea what our next group (after this one finishes) will do, but I will be a part of that! — Michelle
Dani was my inspiration at a time in my life when I was fighting depression for the first time ever. The one-two punch of kids leaving for college combined with the fact that I was looking middle age right in the face was really doing a number on my emotions. I had been working out and running off and on for years but had let myself go. You can see in that first pic that I was definitely getting soft. I came across Dani on FB and then started stalking her Instagram, too. I started running and trained for a half marathon in May of 2015 and as you can see from the pic, was skinny, but lacked muscle. I decided it was time to take the plunge and began Dani’s weight training programs. After doing four rounds with her, you can see that I definitely put on some muscle and feel better than I ever have, both mentally and physically. She was just what I needed to set me on the path to lifelong fitness and I will be forever grateful for that! — Becky E.
