I know most of you have seen my transformation pics. Most of the pics you have seen are of me after gaining 70lbs with each pregnancy and how I’m fit now. There is a time period that you haven’t seen pics of and I didn’t even realize it until AFTER looking through a lot of pictures the other night searching through old Halloween pics. I ran across some pictures that made me realize just how far I’ve come and the differences that eating enough food daily and weight training provides. So, here are some pics for you to check out. I was actually pretty shocked looking back through them. So, this is one of the before and after pics of me preggers and now right?
There was a short section I missed in my transformation pics. It was a time that I personally don’t like the way I looked or felt. I had actually gotten too skinny and the pics featured below came from a time period when I had lost all the baby weight and had been weight training the year before (to lose the weight) but I had unintentionally lost WAY tooooo much weight during this season of my life. I was busy busy busy. My husband traveled for work every week, we had a 2 year old, I owned and ran my own business (working about 100 hours a week-not kidding) and we were also selling our house, looking for a new one out of state, packing up our entire house on my own while the hubs was out of town, closing down my business and tying up lose ends, etc. You can imagine my crazy. So, what happened? Um, I wasn’t working out, and wasn’t eating nearly enough (and I didn’t even realize it at the time-I must have been running on pure adrenaline.) So, here are some pics during that short time period. In my opinion, I NEVER want to be this thin and weak feeling again. Everyone has their idea of the way they want to look and that’s fine….what I’m just saying is that I prefer me with some more “meat” on my bones 😉 I love the feeling of strength and energy I gain from lifting and being fit.
Now, this next before and after is of my back! I found this pic of me during that time at my 30th 80’s themed birthday party in 2006. Oh my gosh! On top of needing a serious spray tan, I needed some back muscles 🙂 So I started working on that a few months after these pictures were taken. Now, I made some great gains over the next year but then I got pregnant again, gained 70lbs again and so I was back to square one. I had to lose the 70lbs of weight and work on regaining my muscle tone. My last baby was born in 2007 and after losing all the weight again, I didn’t allow myself to get down as thin as before. This after pic was taken this year in 2013. It’s been quite a ride, but I never gave up. It won’t happen overnight but it CAN happen! Keep fighting for your goals!! This is NOT totally about appearance. It’s about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, setting goals (that you choose for YOU, and going after those goals. It’s not about being thin, muscular, fit, the fastest in a race, having the biggest biceps, etc. It’s about being the best YOU that you can be. This is just a post about me running across some pics that show me how I’ve changed through hard work. YOU keep rockin’ your goals!
